The warning has been brought to you by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

I've got a troubling announcement to make. It seems that here at the Romney house...we have a disease. It is rare and un-named, but worrisome nonetheless. We've taken to labeling it

Bunny-earitis.

It has struck poor Jane the hardest:

Symptoms seem to include bony finger-looking nodules that grow out of her head (resembling the ears of a bunny) whenever a camera opportunity presents itself. It doesn't seem to cause her much pain, but MANY times she seems highly irritated by it.

It seems to be very contagious. Those we love and spend time with seem to present the same symptoms, without any warning:

We don't know where WE caught it ... but we suspect the dirty Daines:

Luckily enough...Gabe has been immune to the disease (It seems to strike everyone and everything but him).

Until recently.

We've done our best to warn you. All we can hope is that this dreaded disease doesn't strike you.

Dear Jessica, your kids are so cute that it wouldn't matter if there were only one middle finger behind their heads. I love how you managed to get all of those different occasions and even the one with the Bunny Ear Vector.

It's not hard to get lots of different occasions as the bunny ears present themselves on EVERY occasion. It's sad, really.

I think I saw Moose horns in there. Extra points for creativity.

Somebunny was very clever creating this post!

Cute kids, cute pics, but the question is, is this a "I still don't have my camera so I am scanning my photos for something clever to post in the interim or I was inspired to post this all along new camera or not notwithstanding" post?

I am almost the youngest in my family and every single picture of me has bunny ears in the background. Your kids are soooo dang cute. I love all the pics of bunny ears.

Maybe I should allow bunny earitis at my house. I'm always shouting at them to put those fingers down and maybe I should just let it be and capture a moment.

p.s. I always mean to ask...are you guys related to THE Romneys? As in Mitt and Marion G? Just wondering...

Poor Jane. I know this disease is coming to my house one of these days. I can't believe how frequent this disease is occurring! You have so many pictures of it.

Those are really cute. I found you through Stie's site and someone else's. Are you related to Mitt? If so, I know some of your relatives. No, not Mitt. Others.

I know Allyson Whatcott and Sue Mika. They are sisters and I think Mitt's cousins, aunts or nieces. They are in their late 30's early 40's but you know the whole Mormon thing, they may be Mitt's aunt but younger. :)Anyway, when I lived in Boston we were in the same ward. I love them both and wish they had blogs so I could keep in touch.

Hi Jessica...thanks for answering my question. Now I'll answer yours...we adopted our older two with the help of LDS Family Services, then I did IVF and got twins! Voila...four kids and only one pregnancy. I recommend it...

My kids have not fully embraced bunny ears as of yet . . . You know how it goes out here in Missouri, we are the last the catch on to all the cool trends. We'll be bunny earing over here in about 10 years.

My kid looks GOOD in that picture. I can imagine you spending hours looking for bunny ears in your pics. Ok, maybe 10 minutes but feels like hours. I'm thinking they caught the disease from you, because of your super awesomeness and all.

What if every time you saw those fingers go up you carefully went over to that child and bent their fingers until they cried? I'm going with the corporeal punishment lately, no?

Don't worry...my perfect children would never associate with those who have this disease, thus they will never catch it.
