I need more details on what exactly you make your kids eat for dinner that comes directly from the pumpkin. MMMmm seeds and stringy goo!

My kids sort and count too. At least my daughter sorts and counts, my son just counts. We then take all the chocolate candy and put it in the freezer to eat all winter long. (plus I don't like the way chocolate tastes when stored beside all the sugary stuff.) And I only like the chocolate candy anyway so I don't have to look as hard to find it.
I love the sorting and counting. Mine just inhale it all, until I start buying it back from them next week or throwing it away. Whichever comes first. Is that pumpkin soup in the pumpkin. Very clever orange dinner.
I love the sorting and counting part. This year my kids added bartering to their routine. Unfortunately for them, after they go to bed, I dump it all in a big bowl anyway.

What a fun mom you are with the creative dinner! Your neighbors with all the pumpkins either have tons of kids to carve or some serious time on their hands! The kids all look great. Our schools have "Harvest Parties" and no costumes allowed. Pretty stinky if you ask me!
That you for the pictures of your kids, I really have been waiting for them. I'm sure those pants are in the lost and found bin, and you will find them when he's grown out of them. Emma's costume is truly fabu!
I have to admit I was thinking of you when my family went trick-or-treating (our tradition is I DON"T go), and all I had to do was clean up bean burritos and watch TV while you made a huge, yummy meal.
By the way, I totally agree that it's annoying that people are too busy on the weekend to blog. I have way too much time because I refuse to clean on Saturday, so it bugs me that no one updates.

I love the individual Halloween shots. Too cute! Emma is so funny how she was organizing and Counting all of her Halloween candy. Hopefully, she got enough to last her a few days.
So, do you guys just let the kids eat however much candy they want, when they want, or do you give them an allotted amount of candy each day? Just curious how you do it for when my kids are that age.

I remember planning an all orange meal last halloween. It never happened, I think I still have the box of jello in my pantry. Another testament of not always following through on my good intentions.
However, I won't feel guilty or bad about my lack of mothering skills. I am reading "I was a good mom before I had kids." I am learning that my kids are super lucky to have my sub-par parenting skills.
Adorable kids! Great costumes and I don't want to even think about your kids on sugar...I remember emma drinking down sugar packets at our rehearsal dinner?! remember that?! So funny! I love that all the holidays are decked out with these colorful, totally in sync meals. No one puts in that much effort but you!! You are the best mom ever?!!!
You are THE BEST Halloween mom I have ever seen. We are coming to celebrate with you since I don't think it's very fun at all.
You are not just the best halloween mom, but the best holiday mom in general. I thought of you as I made my graveyard dessert. In a terrible way it's nice that no one does anything here because I have to do very little to be an overachiever, whereas in the US I am a loser mom.
