Dream Girl

If I could have created my perfect oldest daughter, I would have made her pretty, smart, helpful, hardworking, spiritually sensitive, kind, talented, capable, articulate and fun.
I would have made...

Emma.

(9 years ago today, I got very, very lucky.)

What a special post.
That is EXACTLY how I feel about my oldest daughter (now 11). EXACTLY.
Looks like we're the lucky ones.

BTW...In answer to your question, found you through your comments on a couple of my friends' blogs.

She is beautiful. Do you think she wants to meet up at BYU and marry my ten-year-old son in about 11 years? Just asking.

Emma, I remember when you were just a baby. You had cute clothes then, and you have them now. I hope you had a wonderful day. Don't let your mom stop you from turning 10. She's going to try.

Emma is a doll -- and she looks so much like you! That is Jessica, not Ryan!

And I loved your summary of church basketball. Ditto. Although Josh's games are usually so late that I prefer to stay home, put the kids to bed early and have a night to myself!

P.S. I can't believe your old enough to have a 9 year old!!!

Emma is so grown up, I just cannot believe it. She was my flower girl! I love Emma, she is sassy, adorable, smart and I agree with Paige, a mini me of you!!

I will always have a special place in my heart for Emma because she loves my black beans and even told me so herself . . . . if only my kids could be such great eaters. I just adore Emma, she truly is an amazing big sister.

I hope she read that. Very sweet. She will remember this, even when she's sixteen and annoyed with you.
