Cry me a river

I really had no idea that motherhood would involve so much crying.

 Picture 049 121_2140 Picture 152

Faith crying because she had to sit her in high chair an extra 20 minutes longer because I couldn’t get to her to wash her off and get her down.

Seth crying because he chose to play DS and now our “learning time” window has passed and he’s mad.

Emma crying because I’m making her figure out a way to pay me back for bringing HOT PINK PAINT into her bedroom and spilling it on the carpet.

Gabe crying because I won’t let him wear the shirt he’s worn 3 times in the last week to school AGAIN today.

Jane crying because, she’s late for the bus, AGAIN.

From the time I returned from the gym (7:00 am) up till, and INCLUDING, this minute (oh the sweet rhythm of Seth banging on his locked bedroom door), someone has been crying in my face.

Awesome.

This post made me cry.

Okay, I was lying...

But, what is it with tears being shed over not being able to wear the same clothes, over and over and over again?

Not that that ever happens here...I was just asking, you know, hypothetically...

Let's hear it for school uniforms! Caleb is convinced that red shirts are for school and everything else is a bonus. Oh how I love my little communist.

The best part about is that you took pictures, so great.

Seth's picture makes ME want to cry! He look so deeply sad and reproachful.

We have more crying from our 4yo son than the others combined. Please tell me it's a phase.

You just totally described my life. It is a rare moment in our house when someone isn't crying or WHINING.

Or bossing me around...

Sheesh. :)

I like when they all start crying at the same time. It feels like I'm dancing through a garden of wonderful motherhood.

I am so thoroughly impressed that you can stop long enough to take pictures of their crying moments. I need to learn how to document my children's lives a little bit better . . . the good and the bad.

I love your solution, though...blog about it. It does actually help.

I'm still mad at Seth for ripping your wall paper.

And what the heck is "learning time" and why am I not doing something similar?

Oh, how true this is.

If they're all bawling in unison, you must be doing something right!

Jessica...you are the best at posting the good, the bad and the real.

Also, got your cute note in the mail today. Thanks it made my day!

I hate to make it worse, but I laughed my way through this post. Those photos! Seriously. How can they look so cute while crying?!

So glad to hear that I'm not the only one who locks my son in his room for timeout. And I've read the L & L book you sent, and we need to talk.

I think the funniest thing and probably most therapeutic thing you can do when they are crying in your face is start singing loudly, sing in their face, bounce around singing and watch as they become totally confused and perhaps start singing instead of crying? a good theory perhaps

Oh the crying....don't even get me started. And over the silliest things too! My girls are big criers. Drives me bonkers!

next time your kids say they are thirsty, offer then a great big glass of pity tears.

Oh the joy.

I hear your cry too!

Hang in there.

They cry less when they are older...although it's more of a whine.

... and THIS is exactly why I escaped to the mall ALONE last night. I couldn't handle it anymore. LOL
