I'm actually posting. I hope you didn't hurt anything when you fainted from shock.
This is the thing:
Numero Uno (I've picked up some Spanish from Seth, apparently): December and Christmas and my two month old and my visitors and the record breaking snow completely decimated me. I could not even get to my computer, much less read blogs or post, until we put away the festivities and the kids went back to school.
except
Numero Dos: They never went back to school. First of all, they got out of school two days early, due to snow. And then, the sheriff cancelled school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. So, if you are counting, my kids were officially out of school for 21 days. Twenty-one freezing cold, dripping wet, gray skied, 70 inches of snow days.
You wouldn't have posted either.

Oh MY. Your poor thing. I was doing the happy dance Monday morning. I will pray for you. Seriously.
I am so impressed by your Spanish. Did you learn it from your favorite aunt?
Here's the thing:
It never snows in AZ.
School never gets cancelled.
My kids go back to school when they are supposed to.
I think you need to move here.
and I am so glad you FINALLY posted.
so reminiscient of last year. remember all the snow days immediately following christmas? remember the pain? the anguish? the trip to the brink of insanity?
nice to revisit it all again this year, huh? and you, with the new baby to top it off. i think it's time to go out for a pack of smokes.
anyway, you've been missed.
No, I wouldn't have...the post after they've been back in school for a couple of days is going to be a doozie!
And she's back...
I hope you enjoyed the break from the world that is blog.
I haven't really posted in an eternity either. And I have none of your excuses.
I can't believe ALL the snow you are getting. STAY WARM.
I am with you!! Yes, school was canceled for a full week here before Christmas break so we had the 3 week "vacation" too. And as you know how steep our hill is you would imagine with the ice and snow we did not get out much.At all. I felll off the blogging train too.
I saw your blog elsewhere and it said 3 weeks ago.... I knew it was the SNOW. I. AM. GLAD. I. MOVED. :)
Amen friend. Amen.
I've missed you.
ya - whatever. you've got me beat on the kid front but, cry me a river about the weather. Can you say 40 below. I trade you places any day. but seriously, you'd love it here. I'm still looking for you a house.
I thought we were getting it bad here. Good luck! It's nice to have you back.
Yeah, we knew you were busy.
Good. Now that you are back I'd like to see some baby Faith photos. Thanks.
Can't say I blame you for not posting. I didn't do much myself and am just trying to get back to the commenting thing. Kudos for even jumping on the computer. Everything is harder (and yet so sweet too) with a new baby in the house...
ahem... more pics of the baby. Your Christmas card was so cute with the play on words and her name. I loved it. A LOT.
Bless your heart. Yeah, I totally wouldn't have posted, either...I am proud of you for posting this much.
I love that Seth is teaching you Spanish. He is such a service oriented child.
Lorena, I am sorry...but she needs to move to Georgia...not Arizona...no offense.
Thanks for your sweet congratulations on my blog! I need to send you an e-mail.
Wow. You have my condolences. I'm glad you're back!
Feel like summer break without the summer weather? Hopefully the Christmas loot kept them happy for at least 20 of the 21 days!
Welcome back.
SO are you considering HOME SCHOOLING now that you are used to having them ALL home? You could call the month of December--your trial run!!
I missed your blogs BUT being over here on the mainland for 21 days has put a damper on my computer use too!
I'm at Jax's in Atlanta so she has an EVER ready computer, thank goodness, 'cuz I went thru withdrawls!
Jesse and I are flying stand by on United and so we can feel your HOLIDAY bewilderments... We never did make it to AZ to see Jake for Christmas, too full of flights for 5 days!! Hope you can get back to NORMAL, whatever that is! Did you take a LONG winters nap sometime during those 21 days? Happy New Year! Aloha w/ luv. (This is A. J'net on Jax's account)
So, no snow here to keep my kids home. Just the oldest who started puking after the first day back and has been home ALL week.
Welcome back. Can't wait to hear the catch-ups.
Can I just cut and copy your post onto my blog, please? That is my life, except the new baby thing. I would have missed you terribly had I actually been blogging! Glad we can be back together!!!
And I second Celia and Holly. We gotta have Faith!!!
Oy. You poor, poor thing. I about kicked everyone out of this house, I was so ready for them to go back. And we've got NO snow. So, so sorry.
Should I mention that there are some great jobs in Southern Utah? You can come to the park with us in January.
It snowed 3 inches here a few weeks ago and it freaked everyone out! We had a girls night planned and 5 girls cancelled because they didn't want to drive in the snow.
???
The movie theater is less than a mile away-- AND it was THREE inches ladies!!
I was totally laughing.
Glad you are back!
What, you mean you don't love spending 24/7 cooped up in a house with your children?
What kind of mother are you?
I'm just glad you braved the snow long enough to escape and meet for lunch the other week.
We've totally missed you, but I wouldn't have posted either. Glad you survived!
Phew. So glad you're okay at least. :) Also, so glad to hear your "voice" via blogpost.
Welcome back!
We missed you!
Good thing you're not a drinking woman!
AAACK!!!!
Glad to see a post from ya.
Honestly . . . how the heck did we survive these past, horrible, dreary weeks? When I took a nap today, I seriously fell asleep daydreaming about summer and swimming and park days.
Let's just try to forget that it snowed in June last year.
I know with 5 kids, a household to run, food to cook, a husband to tend to and a life to live that blogging comes in last place but come on....we miss you!
Wouldn't have posted??? I wouldn't have LIVED.
