Talk about sacrifice

Why I'm Seth's "best fwee-end":

1) Bought him the "gel (girl) one" Happy Meal, because "I own-y wike the Ponies, Mom."

2) Reached my hand into the McDonald's garbage to retrieve the My Little Pony brush, when sorrowful sobbing began.

3) Reach my hand in A SECOND TIME to retrieve the actual My Little Pony when sobbing did not end.

4) Properly sterilized the Pony and brush for 15 minutes ("Mom? Are you cleaning it with oatmeal??") and gave them back to him to play with.

Your kids are so cute, it is totally worth dumpster diving for them. Did you properly sterilize your hand?

You are good.

I would have just bought another happy meal.

I also throw away underwear after poop, and any toys that are in a tub after poop "accidentally" ends up there too.

I don't sterilize.

Now I feel bad...

So cute. Seth makes me feel better about Eli wearing my bra. It's okay that little boys like girl things when they hang out with girls all day. Right?

Hilarious! We've done McDonalds A LOT lately and I've learned to just get two 'girl' happy meals 'cause those bionicle (sp?) 'boy' toys are freaky!!! We're all way happier with the ponies :).

And he's so worth it.

I'm thinking I'll get my boys the ponies just because I want them.

What a good mom. My son went through a only wanting a girl toy from the happy meal stage. I glad to report that he only wants the boy one now.

Dumpster diving in order to not to have to buy another toy, eh? Living with Ryan is totally getting to you.

Cute Seth.

By the way we got two sets of bionacle toys during our road trip to and from Utah. I purposely put them in the trash.

I would have gotten it but not sterilized. I mean, how dirty can a few old hamburgers be?

Liz said...

I am so impressed! 5 children and you are still sterilizing things! I would have rinsed it off in the sink and called it clean!

You are good for reaching in the garbage! I would have done the same thing because I know Ben would have had the same reaction. By the way I made my blog private so if you want an invite email me at melindahaaga@Yahoo.com.

Seth does love those ponies!! I loved seeing you and talking to you on Sunday night! I'm sorry you were so tired!

I really truly wished we lived closer! I always feel everytime I see you, I never get to spend enough time talking! Good luck with the craziness of life!

Hey Jessica!
What a great mommy you are! I have to say I'm happy little Seth likes the ponies instead of the 'boy' toys right now too! My 3 year old Owen only wants the ponies too - he says "I hate those Bionicles - all day long!" I know we are working on the 'hate' thing.
Anyway - just wanted to drop a quick line to say hi and say congratulations on your little Faith! What a beauty! I can see all is well! Take care!!
