So you don't worry...

Why I just might make it:

Got a full night's sleep (Faith slept from 9 pm to 6 am)

Checked these off my list:

Buttoned and zipped a pair of non maternity pants (no comment on the skin folding over)

Choked out the words (sitcom style, you know, like when the character can't bring himself to say a certain and so he stutters every time he tries to get it out?): "Ryan, this year, I just cannot fit in the neighbor-gift-baking-plate day. It's just going to have to go." He almost died of joy. Sorry neighbors and friends. It's you or me.

And we're starting to get TONS of these:

I'm skipping neighbor gifts this year too. I figure the wedding reception counts.

I'm so glad you realize your limits. It feels good to say no and adjust priorities from time to time.

I'm seriously considering skipping neighbor gifts this year and I don't have a newborn or a wedding...

She is precious!!!

You really are a superhero.

Those pictures made me laugh. She is so precious.

i believe in some circles this is referred to as the "light at the end of the tunnel."

in other circles, it's referred to as "false hope."

choose your circle wisely.

love the adorable smile. and if it's any consolation, i quit neighbor goody plates about four years ago, and haven't missed it one bit.

Gorgeous pics AND baby! I'm always amazed at your baking plate. Today I bought toffee from the bakery at the grocery store, put it on my own plate, and delivered it to my VT ladies. DONE!

And does she have Jane's cute crooked smile?

Faith has Jane's crooked smile! I love it!! I'm four years postpartum and still have the muffin top spilling over.I"m still hoping someday it will go away. Without surgery that is.

Congrats on your full night's rest! That's the best baby milestone ever.

Can we just skip 'em?
But I have this whole tray of homemade caramels...

The silhouettes look fabulous...and even more fabulous is that beautiful baby girl!!!!! She looks so much like your beautiful Jane to me!

Ahhhhhhh, a good night's sleep. I am truly happy for you ☺ !

Your baby girl is smiling! How exciting! She is so darling. I'm glad she slept through the night for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she keep doing it. :)

What a cutie! I don't think I am going to do neighbor gifts this year either.

I feel your pain...I'm still feeling it and waiting for life to get easier with 5 kids. It's hard to let things go that were so important (like neighbor gifts). Try the "coma therapy" I used for the first year of Rachel's life and let virtually everything go. People will think you're a slacker, but it's so worth it!

I can't stop the baking. It's like a disease. I will bake and ship your neighbor gifts to you. You just sit there and admire that beautiful baby girl's smiles. Deal?

Good for you to just say no to some things.

I think I've found Pete's girlfriend for him.

I too am totally in the "It's me or you" phase. Too bad it happens to fall during Christmas. Newborns will do that to you...just watch, next year we will be overdoing it because of lack of not doing it this year!

Wow! Faith looks so much like Jane in those pictures!!! Adorable. :)

Glad you set some limits. Neighbor goodies are out for us this year too--and I only have 2/5ths of the children you have!

Love Faith's adorable smile. And if you are feeling bad about it, you can always bake some other time of the year. Neighbors like treats in March too. Or not. ;)

I've given up Christmas cards, neighbor goodie plates, and this year I haven't even decorated the house yet (aside from the tree.)

Cute pictures of Faith!

Love checking things off the list. If anyone begins to ask about those treat plates, hold up that darling baby face and they will instantly forget what they were going ot ask.

So I'm addicted to headbands/bows/flowers on my baby and can't tell you how happy I am so see Faith wearing a super cute one, too!

Oh, she is so cute! So smart to skip neighbor gifts after a new baby. I just finished 55 boxes of caramel corn. I'm pooped.

Congrats on a fantastic day! And, nice job for letting go of gifts. I"m sure they'll forgive you.

I'm so hungry for Romney treats over hear, oh look, there's me in the mirror....nevermind, I better wait until next Christmas before I have ANY treats again. sigh! LOVE FAITH, she is adorable!
