Monday Summary

Since I'm drawing a blank on everything but this one picture I took last week:

I'm having everyone tell me what they wanted me to tell the world about in our Sunday Summary.

I'll start with the picture. It's from tonight's Family Home Evening. The book Emma's holding was given to us a yearish ago and we haven't used it. Tonight we were drawing a blank and so we opened it up (it's called Family Home Evening Treats that Teach). We made these Marshmallow/Cornflake trees and talked about Enos praying in the forest. It took 40 minutes (including the shopping for cornflakes AND treat prep) and was a resounding success.

Ryan wanted me to mention his last soccer game at the season. He probably remembers it so well because he limped for a day and a half afterward. He says he loves it because it's a harder, more diverse workout than anything he does all week. I hope it's not because it's co-ed.

(Emma huddling up with last year's team)

Emma wanted me to mention that her basketball season has started up. She enjoyed playing last year, even though I don't think they won a single game. She gets to hang out with a friend from a different ward and school (Amanda Guinn) and is an endurance (she gets tired, seriously, last of all the girls) superstar.

Gabe, after some reminding, remembered that he got ALL gung-ho about scouting, as soon as mom/den leader actually purchased him a book. He's passed off at least 15 achievements just this week and all because he's the one pushing the book in our faces. He and Ryan had fun with the tool section and using the tools to sand and prep a nightstand we're refinishing.

(Jane, on the first day of school...prior to the exciting activity of we-telling)

Jane wanted us to mention that last week in kindergarten "we telled a stowey". Me: "You want me to type that you told a story?" Jane: "No. Not told a story. We-telling a story. It's called WE-TELLING. It was about a boat race." Now, I'm assuming she's talking about Re-telling a story and we are SO glad we didn't skip over that in the Sunday Summary.

Seth said "You shut the doh and I taked a nap. Um, I cwied and said 'Can I come out?' and went like this (insert random grunting noises)."

Huh? He's lying. Don't listen to him.

That never happened last week. What did happen last week is that he got to go to the firestation (I didn't go, so no pictures) and he enjoyed it so much, that tonight he prayed, "Bless I can go to the firestation again and again and again and again."

Thanks for joining us for another fascinating edition of What We Did Last Week. Hopefully next week's installment actually does includes Seth's random grunting noises, only in conjunction with pushing a baby out. Fingers crossed.

Good luck with the big push.

Since my 3 were all C I'm fascinated by the pushing process. I've never seen it since my sisters both had all C's too. I hope to be invited to a grandchild birth someday.

I'm lovin the FHE book. I may have to borrow it. My poor kids had to listen to me cry as I taught about faith and the story of Peter on the water...Eden left twice because Maya made ugly faces at her. Clearly they weren't getting anything out of it. Too bad that's what they get when there mom is a basket case and gives lessons she needs to hear and forgets that she is teaching a 5 and 8 yr old.

Next week I'm sending them to your house for FHE

And a million thank you's for the cider and scone this morning...it hit the spot not my belly but my heart...How blessed am I to have you in my life.

Look forward to the update EVERY week!
If you are finger crossing for grunting... YOU are due!!
Next week is already happening, how many
Halloween things do you get to be distracted with while you are waiting for baby?
We seem to have something EVERY day this week, and we are ALL grown up here!? Jenna started that celebrating w/ that costume party last weekend, she's a pirate this year, Jesse is wearing a black cape... He's whatever, but he actually looks handsome, not scary in that costume?!
Jax missed a costume party 'cuz they didn't have enough notice to get a bbsitter... How things change w/ baby!
Looking forward to your little trick/treater "rest of the story" next week, ENJOY!
ALO-HA!

"He's lying. Don't listen to him." Heh, heh, heh! I love it!

I know what you mean about having an eager Cub Scout shoving a book in your face...giving you a paper cut right under your nose as they eagerly ask you to sign things off. (okay, fine the paper cut thing never happened, but the rest is true.)

I loved every word of your summary. And don't you worry your beautiful self about it...Ryan has no interest in any ol' sweaty, grungy, probably really...really SCARY looking co-ed soccer players. He loves his soccer mom and I know he thinks your hotttt!

This is totally off the subject but I happened to scroll down and noticed the Beast and Belle costume pictures. Adorable. Simply adorable. I mean the children and the costumes.

So are Celia and Paige going to come play labor coach and fiddle with all the hospital equipment in your room? You should let them. Then surprise them and name the baby after me.

Best of luck on that upcoming "project" next week. Enjoy these last days of 4 children!

I'm crossing all appendages that your baby girl will be here by this time next week!

I can't believe you have any energy left to make special little cornflake marshmallow trees. This is what makes you amazing. Little things like that. Because to me? That's when I pass out and DIE.

I am seriously dying to hear about when you have the baby. You realize it's going to be all your fault that my need for another baby has now kicked into OVERDRIVE, right? I can't wait!!

your cute pics. totally compensate for the stowey telling. We will be setting Cala and Gabe up at BYU by the way. He's adorable. I can't wait to hear about the labor. Please don't spare any details. I love talking about the whole experience and every little trivial detail. Happy pushing... let me know if you need induction advice
