I am so so so so happy that you shared that. Loved it. I hate doing valentines boxes, and as a matter of fact, I resorted to sending them with a valentines lunch box that their grandma and grandpa gave them. That was enough. :)
Sol did his own too. He's in 4th grade but all the other kids were equally ugly except a few that clearly the parents did. Clearly the parents did the ones in Jane's class. Good for you for letting her do it. And good for you for not caring that she didn't care. Can you imagine trying to make that "mailbox" one? That person needs more kids.
Seth lost his shoes and had to wear Faith's too-small pair to a soccer game. He was pretty miserable. After the game, Ryan asked what he'd learned from it. Seth replied: "To have a happy attitude when things are hard?"

that is super cute! and you can tell that she (not the parent) spent a lot of effort on it. great job!
that is SO familiar. and who really cares, anyway?
um, isn't that the teachers job to make them in class or just provide them?
So Awesome! Love it!
Let go and....
let kids?
You know it's important. :)
I had no idea this was the new thing. Completely crazy. Jane's valentine box rocks.
Hey that's great! Carter asked for the valentines that came with the premade mailbox.
Brilliant post. That made me burst out laughing.
That's hilarious. You win best mom award for letting her make her OWN box. You know those other moms just shooed the kids away and did it themselves.
This post made me laugh openly. I thought the SAME EXACT THING when I looked at Brian's box compared to everyone else's.
...and we all know the parents made the other boxes.
...and the clever title of this post is so true...
...and the Valentine box is already in the trash the day after...why break your neck with a labor intensive project?

Jane's is by far the best one!!!
I was totally laughing as I scrolled down because I guessed what was coming. I love Jane's illustrations for "I kiss your heart." Too cute!
Well that makes me feel better about bowens box. Looks like he and jane had the same thing going. Love it!
I love a child who does it themselves! and hers was the best by far ;-)

it's okay to admit you helped her with it.
