I've read most of the books you listed although I didn't really care for Time Traveler's Wife too much, LOVED Ender's Game and all of OSC, was very intrigued by The Road and thik it's a somewhat realistic possibility. And how about Ayn Rand's Anthem or Gerald Lund's The Alliance? But more than any specific genre I like the what-if/what-would-I-do ethical discussion of books like that. Books that take an idea or situation where you may say at the outset, "Oh, I would never/always do that." and then turn your opinion upside-down and inside out before it's over.
